Lincolnshire Tuplin/g Reunion 2010
Plans are underway for a get together of Tuplin/gs in the summer (probably June) of 2010 at Keelby, Lincolnshire. Many Tuplin and Tupling descendants can trace their family back to this village to the early 1700s.
The family was to remain documented there for the whole of the 18th century, much of the 19th, and into the 20th - indeed there may still be some descendants there to this day.
It is hoped to include at least some of the following:
- A heritage trail around the village, based on what information we have for the parts which had significance for the family.
- A visit to the church and cemetery.
- A lunch break at either a local hostelry or (depending on numbers) the village hall.
There are still a few people who worked on the Workers Educational Association histories of Keelby living in the village - so it may be possible to arrange for one of them to give us a talk, or to act as guide.
Please get in touch with Anne Astling if you are interested in this event - depending on demand we may have to limit numbers.
